Impermanence I
Anicca 1 (SN 22.137)
1. I heard thus. At one time the Blessed One lived in the monastery offered by Anāthapiṇḍika in Jeta's grove in Sāvatthi, and the Blessed One addressed the monks from there:
2. “Monks, you should dispel interest for whatever is impermanent. What is impermanent?
3. “Monks, matter is impermanent. You should dispel interest for matter.
4-6. “Monks, feelings, perceptions, and intentions are impermanent. You should dispel interest for feelings, perceptions, and intentions.
7. “Monks, consciousness is impermanent, you should dispel interest for consciousness.
8. “Monks, you should dispel interest for whatever is impermanent.”
